I knew the song but hadn't seen the video before, so thanks for filling in that particular yawning abyss in my pop-cultural knowledge, Russell. I was struck by how, except for the James Brown bits and the clips from the film, that first half could have been outtakes from Koyannisqatsi: a film that, shall we say, presents a rather different take on American/Western culture.
